Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit zhitansky.com, send an enquiry, or book a meeting.
Who is responsible for this website
I’m Sergey Zhitansky, the person responsible for this website and the enquiries received through it.
For questions about your information, use the contact form or contact me through my LinkedIn profile. Please mention that your message concerns privacy.
Information you provide
When you send an enquiry, I receive your name, email address, message, and any company or service information you choose to provide.
When you book a meeting, the scheduling service processes the information needed to arrange it, such as your name, email address, selected time, time zone, and any meeting topic you enter. I receive the details needed to attend and manage the meeting.
Please do not submit passwords, access keys, payment information, or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
How your information is used
I use your information to respond to enquiries, understand a potential project, arrange meetings, and communicate about possible or agreed work.
Technical information is used to operate the website, troubleshoot errors, prevent spam, and protect the contact form.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, handling an enquiry may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Other business correspondence and website security are handled on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to relevant enquiries and operating a secure website. Legal obligations may require certain records to be retained.
Sending an enquiry or booking a meeting does not subscribe you to a newsletter. I do not sell your personal information or use enquiry details for advertising.
Technical information and cookies
The hosting service may record technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information, and errors.
The contact form uses a session cookie and temporary server-side information to validate submissions, show form results, and help prevent duplicate requests. If a submission fails, the form may temporarily retain what you entered so it can be shown again without asking you to retype it.
This website uses Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, such as pages viewed, referring sources, and approximate location. Analytics storage is denied by default, so Google Analytics does not store cookies on your device and the figures it reports are estimates. No advertising pixels, remarketing, or session recording are used.
The scheduling tool is loaded when you choose to open it. The external service may use its own cookies and collect technical information under its privacy notice. You can send an enquiry without loading the embedded calendar.
Services involved in processing
The services used to host the website, transmit and store email, schedule meetings, and provide calendar or video-call functionality process information needed for those tasks.
Contact form messages are sent through SMTP2GO. Your contact details and message content are processed by this service to deliver your enquiry to me.
Website usage measurement is provided by Google Analytics. Google processes technical information, such as browser details, pages viewed, and an IP address used to derive approximate location, to produce aggregated statistics. Google’s privacy notice explains its own processing.
Loading the booking tool or opening its booking page connects you to the scheduling provider. Its identity and privacy link are shown with the booking option. The provider’s privacy notice explains its own processing.
Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond, discuss the proposed work, and resolve outstanding questions. If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, relevant records may be retained for the relationship and any applicable record-keeping or legal requirements.
Meeting records are retained as needed to arrange, manage, and follow up on the meeting. Technical logs and temporary form records are retained only for operational, security, and troubleshooting purposes.
When information is no longer needed for those purposes, it is deleted or anonymised, subject to applicable obligations and the backup retention of the services involved.
Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to contact me or book a meeting. The required form fields are needed to understand and respond to your enquiry; company and service information are optional.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy.
You may also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can raise an objection through the contact options above.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.
I may ask for enough information to verify a request before disclosing or changing personal information. Please do not send identity documents unless they are specifically requested and an appropriate way to provide them has been agreed.
Links to other websites
Links to Scovant, LinkedIn, and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy notices. This policy covers zhitansky.com and does not replace the notices of those services.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the website or the way enquiries are handled changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
